Southwest, Jetblue and Independence Air (and perhaps others) do not post their fares on the common reservation systems, so they will not appear on Travelocity, Expedia or Orbitz. However, none of those fly non-stop from the Southern CA to PHL non-stop, at least not yet.

atlcity - It has nothing to do with the OP's question. My post is to alert other casual browsers of this board that you to find a flights on a particular city pair, there are sometimes other choices out there.
That's all. And your answer to the OP is 100% correct.

atlcity, the relevance of the post by rkkwan is that it answered the question as to whether or not those carriers have the desired nonstops. The answer is no. The other thing the post accomplished was that it suggested other resources that could be used in addition to travelocity.
It was a question that I considered after I made my earlier post. I gave my reply after I actually went to travelocity to get the information. Should have mentioned that my info was from travelocity and that there were no nonstops from LGB or SNA.
Because the OP asked about LGB then the pointer to jetBlue was definitely worthwhile. Because it asked about PHL, a dest of Soutwest (I think) it was also relevant.

Note that those non-stops are on "smaller", single-aisle jets-- USAir's Airbus 320/321s or Southwest's 737s. Still, they're not the regional jets, so they're big enough. I've done JetBlue 320s coast-to-coast and they're just fine (if not big ol' 777s).
