solo.- toilet access(delicate subject)

Hi folks,
I have unsuccessfully tried a quick search for any answer to my query. I know I will endeavour to visit the facilities before having to lug around my suitcase and carry-on, but in the event that it is I have to, how do you womenfolk manage, without getting your luggage stolen.
How do you access the toilets in the airports or anywhere before your destination, after retrieving your luggage

You have to lug it with you. I have had other women in airports ask me to watch their luggage for them - sometime I do, sometimes I create an excuse. Even though the TSA does not ask those questions anymore about whether or not your luggage has been out of your control - officially you are not supposed to leave your or watch others luggage.

You go to the bathroom while waiting for the luggage to come off the carousel. If, however, you have to use the facilities after you've collected your bags, then you take them with you. I've found that one can easily get a rolling duffle (26&quot into a cubicle. If you are traveling with something larger than 30" (why would anyone be), then you might just have to ask someone to watch the bag.

The security issue that gail mentioned does not apply if you've already landed and got out of the secured area to the baggage claim.

But how do you not get your luggage stolen? Well, I don't know. Get someone who looks honest to look after them for you?

It is ok to use a "handicapped" toilet stall if you have to. - Just make sure you don't stay in there too long (if there is a person in a wheelchair etc. who really needs it)

My take on the handicapped stall is this...it's there to use. A handicapped person will need to use it, but that does not mean the rest of us have to stay out of it so that it is empty should a handicapped person come in.When there is a line expediency is the name of the game. And yes, try to go before you collect your luggage or else take it with you (thank goodness for those wheels)!

Just a tip...people WILL reach under or over the door of the stall to swipe your stuff.

We were passing through Atlanta and my teenage daughter was using the restroom. She took her backpack in with her and sat it on the floor while she did her business. Someone reached under the door, grabbed it and disappeared. I was standing at the door of the restroom and never saw them come out with it.
