Flying MIA to Cordoba Argentina. Changing planes in Santiago. Any recent Lan experiences? Food/Beverage Service?

I think LAN is a wonderful airline, very professionally run. It's Chilean. They wouldn't have it any other way. I take it you'll do an overnight flight from Miami to Santiago. You'll get dinner early in the flight (with Chilean wines, of course) and breakfast the following morning before landing. It's a long flight. There's no question about that.

Arturo Merino Benitez Airport in Santiago is sparklingly modern and very easy to navigate for transfers.

Last March I flew with LAN Chile in first class and business class.

First class was superb. The attentive service (only 5 seats with 2 FAs) was just wonderful. Seats(fully flat with duvets and real pillows), food, wines, entertainment, outstanding.

I can't say the same thing about business class. The seat was comfortable and roomy but the service definitely dropped few nothches.

I did EZE-SCL, SCL-IPC-SCL, SCL-LIM segments in business and LIM-SCL-MIA in first, so I'm not basing my opinion on just one flight.

I also did economy on LAN Peru(subsidary), R/T LIM-CUZ and it was ok service wise, but seating was tight.

Just back from my trip. Lan was great. Food was an 8 out of 10 for economy and great service. Seatback Videos with games movies etc. The fact that they are One world made it even better since I qualified for Gold Challenge with just these flights.
