First time, Best Business class?

My husband and I are about to fly business class to Florence. We have a couple options and since this is our first time flying business class, we wanted to go with the nicest option. We have:

Delta 767-300
Delta Airbus 330-300
Airfrance 777-200
KLM 777-200

Does anyone have experience with any of these particular planes? I know Delta has been in the process of upgrading their business class and AirFrance will complete their updates by Summer of 2017. We will be flying in April 2017, so AirFrance may not be quite done. All the flights will be leaving out of JFK, with Delta airbus leaving from ATL. We can either fly into CDG or AMS (I'm leaning toward AMS).

Thank you for any input you may have.

You can check cabin seating configurations, seat descriptions and seat ratings for any of those flights (and any others) at

You'll also be able to get a lot more comments about the difference in airlines at

Where are you starting from? NYC? Somewhere else? You need to pay attention to the connections (on either/both ends) which can make a big difference in the overall experience.

Have a nice flight, haha for my opinion the destination is more important than the flight, i really dont care business or economic flight. But i get that its more comfortabele and if you can afford it why not .

I would definitely pick the flight going through AMS to avoid the nightmare of CDG.

I've flown KLM to Amsterdam a number of times business class, and I think it's pretty good. The only drawback is that the passenger nearest the window must climb over the aisle seat passenger's feet to get out for the restroom, etc. if the seat is in the flatbed position. Not a big deal if it's your spouse.

Emirates is the best by far for business class - almost like your own little apartment, and the service is outstanding.

We flew Delta One (international business) to the U.S. from Basel via Ams and, IMO, it's the best transatlantic business carrier. We had a very positive experience on the A330. Excellent seat, friendly, efficient service, surprisingly good food and wine. We liked them so much that we using them again to fly from FRA to Phoenix next year for the wedding of a friend's daughter in Scottsdale.

FWIW, I flew back to the U.S. from SFO on KLM (747) and, as far as business class goes, it was just mehhh. KLM still has two seats on the window sides. I had the window seat and had to step over the person next to me to get to the aisle (which takes some agility when they're sleeping on the lie-flat seats and the lights are all dimmed). The seat wasn't nearly as comfortable as the Delta One on the A330. The only thing about the KLM flight that I liked better than Delta's was the little Delft house they give you as a souvenir.

Of your list, Delta on the A330 via AMS would be my first choice.

Delta has the best config with the a330-300 and the 767-300.

We just flew Air France A380 one way and Boeing 777 the other way and the 380 was much more comfortable - both in business class. I really prefer the Delta A330 or the KLM 747 the most.

I think they've booked their flights long ago -- the OP posted back in July and the thread was topped later by a spammer.
