Newark to Boston Airline Prices

In looking over one way airfares from Newark to Boston I was shocked at the price of over $300.00 (non-stop) per person.. IS THIS TRUE!!! Would it be better to rent a car...

Depends on when you're flying and how you're booking your tickets.

I see lots of fares of $199 roundtrip, which is cheaper than the train.

JetBlue flies BOS-JFK for about $150 RT. Could you do that and then do ground transport to wherever you are going?

We have found prices BOS-New York and BOS-Washington area airports have gone up horribly in past months (husband does frequently for business). I think since these are big business routes, they can get away with it.

(PS - ParrotMom - I was wondering where you were; hadn't seen post by you recently)
