BEST URL TO FIND CHEAP AIR FARES
I've been trying to find a cheap ticket to Paris and all the airlines have gone up significantly. Can anyone suggest a website that has very cheap fares?
I used Fareline, and was pleased but even they are very expensive. I know it's difficult to find anything this time of year, especially around the 4th. I tried to get something on Priceline when I flew to Paris May 31, and they would come back with offers higher than I wanted to pay. I eventually flew on Air Tahiti. Their flights have gone up to $6000.00
If anyone has any suggestions please help.
Thanks

As a generalization, airfares have gone up - article in business section of Boston Globe today stating all major US carriers were raising all fares $50-75 and not likely to go down or have "sales". Product of fuel costs and general health of many carriers.
In addition to above mentioned sites, try itasoftware. But don't expect any magic.

You didn't say where you are leaving from and which dates, so
I plugged in July 2-July 14, from Boston, Ma to London and to Paris on
Auto Europe
and
Travelocity
Got $800+ from AutoEurope for Boston to London.
Got over $1000 from Boston to Paris
You can also try consolidators in New York and San Francisco. Or look in the travel section of a major newspaper on Sundays. There are "inexpensive" fares advertised all the time.
Good luck!
