KLM or BA from SFO to BUD, PRG to SFO?

I am looking at flights from San Francisco to Budapest and then Prague back to San Francisco in June 2005. I flew British Airways in August from San Francsico to London and though the cabin was a little cramped, I liked the personal screens. Have any of you flown both recently? If so, what are the advantages to flying KLM over BA? Does KLM have more leg room? Do they have personal screens on these flights? Thank you for your help.

I don't know about KLM, but I suggest you also post this on the Europe board. I think you will get more responses there.

KLM uses the MD-11 for SFO-AMS, and it definitely does NOT have personal video screen in coach. Don't know about legroom, but it should be the same 31"-32" you'll find on many airlines, including BA.

If you want less cramped seats, try the World Traveler Plus seats on BA or Premium Economy on Virgin Atlantic - for about $200 more than regular economy. Or if you just want legroom, AA has that in coach, but they don't fly SFO-Europe and will require an extra stop.

KLM, if for no other reason than you'll change planes in Amsterdam, which is a great airport, as opposed to the confused mess that is London Heathrow.

Have you thought of using Czech Airlines with their world partners to do this scheduling?Example- going,Delta to New York then CZech Airlines to Prague to Budapest OR Delta or Air France to Paris(using 777 with personal screens) then Air France to Budapest. The return could be Czech Airlines from Prague to JFK or EWR then Delta to SFO. Just a suggestion? My friends recently flew Czech Airlines and had no complaints. Just a suggestion?

Thank you all for your help. I have looked into using Delta and partners, but they had more than one connection each way. Since we have used BA, flown into Heathrow and know the airport, and the two sound pretty similar, it looks like we will try BA. Thanks again.
