Humidifier on flight
I always get painfully dry skin on overseas flights, so I got really excited about this portable humidifier: http://www.gizmofusion.com/2013/06/s...GizmoFusion%29 Do you think it would pass security and be okay with flight attendants? Even if I couldn't use it on a plane, it would be a relief while staying at a hotel.

I think it might not pass through security. It's hard to tell because on the link you can't see what the insides look like.
Having said that, if you could use it on the flight the people sitting next to you probably wouldn't appreciate it. I wouldn't.

Wonder if it's noisy...I'd be annoyed if I were subjected to buzzing for hours on end compliments of the guy sitting next to me in cattle class. And where do you put it while it's running? There's not an inch of room to spare on most flights (in coach anyway).

Absolutely not! As an international flight attendant, that item would be considered a no no in the cabin. Just go to Walmart or Target and buy some AYR saline gel for your nose, wear lotion and drinks lots of water and you will be fine.

There'd be bloodshed if someone sat next to me and used one of those
But probably wouldn't be an issue since I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be allowed.
As Dutyfree says - just buy some nasal moisturizer gel and forget about irritating your seat mates.

Yet another vote for "please don't even try this".
Use a thicker than normal lotion on your skin (such as Johnsons Extra Care or even Aquaphilic), slather extra moisturizer on your face throughout the flight, use lip balm and use one of the saline nasal sprays or gels.

Go ahead with the hotel idea, that sounds great. Just please not on a plane.
