Food on the plane

Are we allowed to bring our own packaged food on the airplane? Especially Air Canada?

I always bring my own pop-corn to watch the movies on inter-continental. And if I tip properly they warm it up.

I would highly recommend taking your own food on Air Canada...theirs is absolutely abysmal-when you get it.

Food is rarely served on airlines in US these days except for cross-country trip. Bring food. Even without delays, if you add time from travel from home, check-in procedures, etc., even a 3-4 hour flight can turn into 6-7 hours. Try not to bring anything too smelly or messy in deference to your fellow passengers.

Can you take frozen food in a carry-on with you to your destination,if you have it packed properly to stay frozen? I'm thinking a couple of whole tenderloins frozen...might look like a weapon...hmmmm
anyone?
Could be embarrassing at security..but we got the tenderloin for free...seems a shame not to take them for our party.
