Flying to the UK in August
Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap airfare to the UK in August? I know it is season but we are travelling to the North of England for a wedding and there will be 4 adults and 2 children. Thanks.

Just be careful on some of those "off" airlines. They may only have the one plane here in the states and if there is a mechanical, etc. you will be waiting till they can find another.
There are quite a few airlines that fly to northern England and you have many months to check out the fares before committing.

I thought Flyglobespan had its certificates yanked over maintenance issues. Lemme see what I can find... (pause...)
Right. Its UK ETOPS certificate (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards, or as some airline people put it, "Engines Turn Or Passengers Swim") on its own planes (not leased ones) was pulled in 2007 but subsequently reinstated. Skytrax, the rating site, has de-listed it from covered airlines.
Remember Dirty Harry's question. Well, do you?
