Different price Iberia vs. Vueling - same flight?
Hi,
Just wanted to check my understanding -
seems the same flight on Vueling costs 50 Euro (+ 10 for baggage) = $80
vs.
iberia = $97 (I believe 1 bag is included in the price).
Is this possible? It's a codeshare and I guess I'm surprised at the difference.
Thanks.

That happens almost all the time. Two airlines selling the same flight apply different pricing strategies and algorithms and, after fare optimization, they come up with different fares. In fact it is very rare that you find the same price on each.

You'll often find same price if the carriers have joint-venture, with anti-trust exception. For example, AF/KL flights and DL flights. But the carriers that are simply codesharing are supposed to be competing on price.

Once we got cheap tickets with Alaska Airlines - the flight was actually American Airlines, and with them would be much more expensive.
I don't understand how they do it, and it proves once more: do your homework before making reservations.
Bon Voyage
