Darwin Baboo Airlines

Has anyone flown Darwin Baboo Airlines? If so, how was it? We are thinking of flying from Nice to Venice in Oct.. for $150.00 each. The flight takes 1 hour vs a 10 hour train ride. Thanks.

You are, of course, aware that the aircraft are all propeller jobs (albeit turboprop), yes?

What an unusual name for an airline. I saw that and figured it must be Australian.

Thanks so much qwovadis. I was hoping someone who had flown Baboo would reply. A 10 hour train ride is something I hadn't looked forward to. We did it once between Berlin and Krakow and vowed not again if we could help it!

NoFlyZone, turboprops are fine - no problem.

A few years ago, my wife and I flew on Baboo Airlines. Since then they have been bought out / taken over by Darwin Airlines. All of Baboo's routes have been kept.

The main difference in flying a turboprop is that you flight a bit slower and a bit lower. As we flew over the Alps, it was beautiful.

We enjoyed our flight from Zurich to Venice. The FA's are very friendly, and the food service is different than any other airline, but in a good way.

I guess with the takeover, Tofu, the official Black Lab mascot, has been retired.
