If it is any help, home made limoncello can be really good.
Take the outer skin (Yellow part not white part) of about 8 lemons and put them in a mason jar with enough good vodka to cover them - about half a jar of vodka). Store it for about 2 to 8 weeks (we do 8 and in the fridge). Then strain out the lemon peels, add the rest of the bottle of vodka and enough simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water heated until sugar dissolves - then cooled before adding to lemon-vodka mixture) to suit your taste. I find that our homemade limoncello has a much more real lemon taste. My friends liked it, too.
So try making some now and set it aside for, say, the 4th of July or Bastille Day, and perhaps when you sip it you'll feel a wee bit better about your Zurich experience. Cheers!

I worked in a store in San Francisco where a cashier was telling foreign customers they can get the tax money back at the SFO airport. Which was not true.
She did it thinking she's helping. The owner stopped her after several angry phone calls from overseas.
Maybe the same in that Duty Free? Just ignorance? Stupidity? Or most likely they work on commissions.

Just last week, the TSA at the Athens airport told me not to purchase any liquids at the duty-free shops bc they would not be allowed as carryon. I expressed my surprise and she responded, "They'll ship it for you...they seem to make a lot of money that way."
