Complimentary upgrades on Delta with companion

My husband is silver medallion on Delta. I have no status. If we check the boxes to request a complimentary upgrade and he actually gets one (unlikely I know), will I get upgraded along with him? We are on the same reservation.

Neither of us has ever had status before, so I'm not sure how it works. Thanks!

Don't know about Delta but a friend of mine has gotten upgrades for himself and his wife and this is thru United.

Checking the box is what you need to do to be in the running. In reality, the likelihood of getting a companion upgrade as a Silver Medallion is near-zero.

Sometimes we did, and sometimes we didn't. Nowadays, it's harder to get upgraded than it was in years prior. I would never count on it.

Like Samsaf, sometimes we get lucky, but most often do not.

Probably not-too many folks request the upgrade who are medallions.

I'm not particularly familiar with the Silver Medallion. However, the last time I traveled with my partner we were both upgraded to business priority seating by simply asking if an upgrade was available and if we could be placed together. I hope this helps!
