You will get miles for yourself, and you should investigate which FF program you want to deposit your miles to.
I don't know who the partners of EK are, but you should investigate. DXB-JFK is almost 7,000 miles one way. A 50% bonus will mean over 10,000 FF miles for just one flight, and 100% will mean 14K.
[And check the mileage earning rules carefully. For example, I know CO is a partner of EK, but EQMs are only earned on LGW-DXB. DXB-JFK in First Class will earn 150% CO miles, but no EQM.]
