Best looking first class suite in the world
If this is not the best first class suite, then I don't know what is:
This is the new Airbus 340 Emirates Airlines first class cabin: www.emirates.com Simply amazing :-) Unfortunately, Emirates Air is not part of OneWorld :-(, can't use my miles. I guess I have to find some other way. |
I flew Lufthansa first this summer and thought that their sleeper seats were great.
Emirates goes even further. I love the privacy doors that close. |
Emirates first class suites on their NYC route hv 19inch tv screens with literally 100 plus movies to choose from........
|
Oh my. Leather and walnut, a lit vanity, starlit sky, complete privacy w/remote moving walls, and a personal minibar in your seat suite. Can you just stay in the seat for the entire vacation and never get off the plane?
|
OMG I'd like to live on that plane. It would be the first time I would want the journey part to never end. Wonder what the bathrooms are like in First.
|
They are increasing from 2 flights to 3 flights per day to Dubai from later in the year, 2 flights will be with the Airbus 340-500 but the other flight will be a 777 stopping en route in Hamburg. Emirates are very big down here in South East Asia. Another airline planning to start non stops later in the year is Etihad of Abu Dhabi with new 777's, their Business Class ( Pearl ) will have 88" flat beds, they are using them on their twice daily Bangkok flights from mid year.
|
Do they have the first class suites from New York to Dubai?
|
z,
Not only do you get the suites on the NYC-Dubai route, but you also get the following: Passengers flying on Emirates' Flight 202 in First or Business Class from New York to Dubai, can dine in style before being chauffeur-driven to the airport. Enjoy a sumptuous 5-course dinner at either: The Atelier Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park. 2 West Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park. Relax and enjoy your fine dining experience with the peace of mind that your chauffeur-drive has been confirmed, ready to take you to the airport. Your dinner reservation can be made at the time of booking your ticket when you will also be able to select the hotel restaurant of your choice. What a way to travel...:-) |
The virgin upper class suites look very good for much less money (although it is business class)???
|
and your point is???
not even close........ |
Thanks, AAFF. Can I use my continental miles with Emirates? I don't know what to do with 400,000 miles
|
Yes, you can use Onepass miles on EK. However, not sure about First Class. Probably only business. 120K miles roundtrip, supposedly, but you need to call to confirm:

Thanks rkkwan

Love the cabin lighting which subtly changes to simulate the time of day at your destination, from daylight to afternoon to dusk to the dark of night, simulating the twinkling consellations above Dubai. Now that's attention to detail!
|
EK has "possible future" destinations of LAX and SFO. Anyone know if/when those destinations may be added?
|
When EK's massive navy of A380s start arriving, they'll need to find new routes for their 773ERs, which can replace some of the shorter routes that are on A345 right now. The A345 - they have 10 - can then be used on routes like the US West Coast.
That'd be my guess. |
Ok, then that would not be in time for a trip next March! Some of the photos make it look like the suite is fairly wide. Photos that I saw 5 or 6 months ago, at airliners.net I think, gave me the impression that it might be a bit confining. The emirates site describes "lateral" movement of the seat to bring it closer to the desk/counter at the front. That ability to move the seat forward/back and the removal of the overhead storage bins means there should be plenty of space in at least two dimensions.

Hi everybody. I'll be flying in two weeks first class from Dubai to New York. Anyone has latest details about Emirates' first class service?
Thanks |
Hopefully they have advised you of the various 'privileges' you get like the Chauffeur driven limousine to the airport, that's from anywhere up to 60 miles from JFK
http://www.emirates.com/usa/Travelle...eAvailable.asp Not sure but I think you also get it the other end in Dubai too, they show it as unlimed 'anywhere' within the UAE. Make sure you sign-up for Skywards Miles/Points before you go: https://www.skywards.com/index.aspx AA mentioned the Dine before yo fly so you may want to check on that. |
Etihad start JFK-Abu Dhabi non stop from end Oct, here's their new F class
