Vegas, where else can you gamble while you wait on your flight. It is great. I flew back and forth from phoenix last weekend, and i intentionally booked a layover in vegas on orbitz so i could mess around with the slots for a bit. Leaving dullus was a chore though, i dont think i will be reccomending dullus anytime soon, that place is a zoo

Skyhaven Airport in Rochester, NH, hands down. It is the closest airport to me, therefore it is the best!

My vote for the best goes to Koh Samui Thailand. It's all outdoors. The planes land on the runway, turn around, and then taxi on the runway to the open air terminal! It's paradise!

Koh Samui. We took pictures of it and asked friends what they thought it was. No-one guessed it was an airport! Open air, thatched roofs, gardens, lily ponds, seats to sit out in, sunbathing areas, lovely shrines. And the transport to take you out to the planes is something else!
It is also very efficient. We booked our luggage to go through 4 airports and it arrived back with us!

Placencia, Belize several years ago was a dirt landing strip right next to the ocean. The 'airport' consisted of a open air small hut (basically 4 poles with a thatch roof). No airport staff. Pilot loaded your bags and took your ticket (if you had one). Don't know if it still operates this way but it was great!

Best domestic: Washington National and Kansas City are great. National is so clean ! And KC has the most fabulous efficient layout.

Worst domestic: Boston is poorly laid out, ugly, and has oddly placed stores and restaurants. Lines at the ticket counters get so bad sometimes that they jam up the hallways. There are frequent delays taking off and pulling up to the gates. And it's in the worst location !! It's not cool to have to drive through already traffic-jammed downtown Boston to get to and from the airport. And the location right out in the bay subjects it to fog delays. The only think I like about this airport is the generous amount of covered parking in the parking decks.

Best international: Vienna is immaculate and has great shopping !

Worst international: Heathrow is overwhelming, taking the shuttle buses between terminals can be really frustrating, and the walks to some of the gates are exhausting. But then it is one of the busiest airports in the world. Great security there.

(I know it's not fair that the airports I picked as best are so much smaller than the ones I picked as worst.)

I find Orlando Intl comfortable-high ceilings, beautiful tilework, lots of food and shopping or places to relax. I grew up in ATL flying since I was a kid and I thought all airports were that big and busy. I now appreciate how hard they try to keep everything moving there.

Best airport US Orlando, easy to get around, clean interesting. Worst Dallas/Ft. Worth...just the opposite.
Canada best Calgary, easy to move in, prices just the same as the city and interesting to explore.
Worst...Toronto, almost third world in appearance.

International, CDG is simple to manage and a good variety of restaurants and excellent access to the RER to Paris.
In the US I like the San Diego airport. Still small and very accessible for the size of San Diego...If you are late to check-in you will be a short distance from your departure gate...no trams or long walk-ways like other airports (ie Las Vegas).

Worst US -

Dulles and O'Hare for reasons too numerous to mention.

Best US - McCarren in Vegas, DIA in Denver, Kona and Kauai Hawaii.

Worst International - Dhahran Airport in Saudi Arabia - fortunately, they shut that baby down.

Best International - Changi in Singapore - incredibly efficient, good food, orchids everywhere, awesome lounges, great shopping - I love that place.

I absolutely HATE Charles de Gaulle. Try going from D to E terminals. Hope you're a marathoner. I Haven't been to Schipol in a while, but I'd pick Munich over it. S-bahn lines 1 & 8 run from underneath terminal to Marienplatz every 20 minutes; trip takes around 1/2 hour. More user-friendly than any other Euroairport I've seen.

Best in US I would say Lihue, Kauai, HI (my favorite), certainly not too stressful.

Worst in US is Chicago's Midway (A trip through MDW might cure all the O'Hare hating that seems to be out there)
