Hi Bethany....I took them about 4 years ago from Chicago to London. No complaints, service-food-drink fine, full plane tho and it seemed crowded. The price was right, too. It seemed that non-Indians got more attention from the flight attendants.

Do a search. There have been lots of comments on AI, most of them negative. it is very cramped and crowded, but we did get there. If you do go, be sure and order the Indian food. It is better than the regular American menu.

Bethany:

I went on Air India a while ago from JFK to London. I was pleasantly surprised regarding the food, they served you twice and the Indian food wasn't bad. The movies are in Hindu, so I'd suggest bringing some books or puzzles, however, the flight attendants are very polite and helpful. The ethnic makeup of the flight will probably be 85-95% India nationality and about 10-15% European but it is no big deal. By the way, when I used this carrier they were on time.

Bethany,
Did you end up booking on Air India? If so, how was it?

Oh, I booked all right, Kipcat (I'm the former Bethany), but not all turned out well. The flight was cancelled, and neither Air India nor Travelocity notified me. What a mess.
