AA (transatlantic) Premium Economy?
After years of flying Lufthansa PE from FRA to PHL and back, I've decided to give AA's PE product a try, flying CDG-PHL and return on the A330. PE on AA is significantly cheaper than Lufthansa for my dates and the savings almost (but not quite) pay for the four nights in Paris I'm giving myself before the flight. I've booked the window seat in row 7 both ways; I know that in row 8 there's no window. I can upgrade to business, which I might consider for the longer flight from Paris to Phila. But most likely not -- would rather spend the cost on a few more days in Paris on my return. One advantage of the AA flight (aside from the Paris
location) is that it arrives in PHL at 1:30 pm instead of 4:30 pm, so I can out of the airport and on my way to the Lehigh Valley before rush hour really sets in.
Anybody flown AA's PE product transatlantic? Your experience? Thanks!

I did, from MAD to PHL, last year.
Having flown that routing in business, personally, I would take the savings.
There is enough of a recline and having a footrest really helps
If I recall, the meals were different as well.
Normally, my preference is isle, having a window seat arriving at PHL might give you a good view of SS United States rusting away
at Pier 82.

Thanks! Yes, I thought that the business class on that plane looked ok, but not worth the extra grand each way. It's not that long a flight, esp on the way back, so I think I'll be fine in PE. A round trip PE ticket for under 1000 francs seems like a pretty good deal.
