Best Trans-atlantic Flight story

OK - I doubt that anyone truly enjoys the full experience of being couped up in an airplane for 7-12 hours each way. The last trip, my son unfortunate enough to be seated in front of a woman who made repeated use of her airsickness bag for about 9 hours. The poor flight attendants were doing everything they could to ease her suffering and thank goodness, it was overnight so most of the other passengers were asleep and thus, unaware! Never to glad to leave a plane in our lives!

My worst trip was a charter to Paris where 10% of the seats were the smoking section and 90% of the people smoked.

We played musical chairs all night.

In a 180 deg turn...my best trip was on Lufthansa a few weeks ago.

We used frequent flyer miles on UAL to fly first class. We were on the upper deck of a 747. Three flight attendants for 16 passengers. The seats were sleeper seats....went totally back. the bathroom was large and even had a window.

A choice of over 10 wines and personal vcrs where you picked your own movie and could start and stop it at will.

The problem now , is how will we ever fly in the back..where we belong....LOL.

Ira,

That is so true. I joked to my wife that we really belonged with the "riff-raff" in back.

We are talking about how soon we can go back and do a glass buying trip to Venice and figure we will have to go coach.

We're flying UA to Paris on the 4th - hoping this will be uneventful but know we'll be cramped with 2 teens over 6'. Had a poor guy on our last flight that was very tall- asked to be moved and they acommodated him to business class; his friend told us he was 7'1 and going to play basketball in Germany! Of course, the flight attendent in business class then complained that another passenger had been added to her area!!!! I really enjoy hearing them chatter when most of the passengers are asleep.
