I was at Victoria Falls in Nov 05 and thought they were spectacular. I saw them from the Zim side and also took a helicopter ride which I highly recommend. I have alot of photos if you are interested. I hope you don't have to pass on seeing the falls.

So is it advisable to crossinto Zimbabwe when I'm in Livingstone, Zambia in September? I'm starting out a Botswana Safari in Livingstone. I'll have a day's time, so I'm thinking of going to Zimbabwe for an
afternoon tour. Is it worth it?

Combo,
Absolutely worth it. Falls on Zam side in Sept. likely to be piddling, but still going on Zim side, though not as thundering as, say, Feb.

Just did the hike from Zambia to Vic.Falls village in Zim. Read my trip report. $30 visa, no exceptions, $20 entry fee. Question the value of $50...that's my only advice, I'd not do it again.

We didn't go to VF because we were told the water was low and not much to see. I don't know if this was a mistake of not. I may never know, but we couldn't see it all.
