You can go back as far as your history goes, as long as it's there you can delete it. Yes, it adds a number to the count when you delete or edit, which you can also do in the same way. click edit, then edit then preview again, then post.

Thanks guys for putting in more effort to give me ideas on tourism in Kenya. Turkana seems to be a good idea. Very few safari companies go to turkana .Its a hardship area ,transportation being the worst . Need to get more input from guys who have been there before. nyone who has been in Turkana? What challenges did you face? Any recommendation?
Khalif-Your ideas will be most welcomed. Though I would not mind sharing with my fellow fodors. I will write you mail.

Have been asking myself, are there any home stays in the Kenya's National parks and Game Reserves? I mean something like Giraffe Manor in Nairobi.
From my experience I know there are basic campsites, Lodges, Luxury tented camps..so has anyone ever thought of setting a nice house for tourists in these parks ( a family thing). Is it allowed?.
Give it a thought Africana

Turkana Challeges? well, the road is terrible, very tiring trip and the wear and tear cost for the vehicles heading there is high.
You will need a very solid vehicle for Turkana trip. Accomodation side, still there should be a good established lodges/hotels in between.

Hi all, I have been thinking about medical tourism. Do you think it is viable in Africa? What about placing medical students who are doing their medical elective in hospitals in Kenya?

Medical Tourism -
Well, in SA, known to have some of the best medical facilities and practioners, there's plenty of cosmetic surgery being done. A Google search will bring up plastic surgeons from all over South Africa advertising their services. Not sure about other procedures, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
Then, there's Thailand, which does every imaginable type of procedure. The first country to do sex reassignment. Now, everything from annual exams, dental work, cosmetic procedures. Baumregaurd (spelling must we way off , but sounds like that) hospital is absolutely amazing. See Fodor's Asia Forum and do a Google search for more details.
These two locations would be an example of the competition in front of Kenyan medical facilities. Not sure they are currently.
But, as far as medical students doing their residencies here... why not; would be an outstanding opportunity for them, of course, specialty dependent.

Hi! I'm not sure if this is what you have in mind, and it's probably something only the government can do...but I'd suggest limiting the number of vehicles at sightings in the Mara. There are waaay too many vehicles at sightings especially predator sightings and the animals I saw were getting very stressed out.
