Study Abroad near Fez, Morocco (Ifrane)

My niece is studying abroad in Morocco this fall. We are in the process of booking flights. She can't find anything into Fez, so she is checking flights into Casablanca.

From there, she will need to take a bus, train, or taxi to Ifrane.

Any caveats?

Not sure what the question is. If it's about transport from Casablanca to Ifrane, then take the train to Fez, then taxi the last 60-70km to Ifrane.

Train site (from Aeroport Med V, to Fes), http://www.oncf.ma/index_En.aspx

Al Akhawayn (if that's where she is studying) is lovely. Lots of nature-oriented stuff to do and see in the area. Here's an example, http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntre...readID=1945807

Thanks, I guess I was vague with my question. I have been reading travelers' advisories and guess I was wondering whether the bus or train were safe and whether it was too far for a taxi.

She did some research and thinks several other students will be arriving the same day and they will be able to travel together.

Thanks for the site for the train and the information on the school. I'm not sure if that is where she is going or not, but it sounds likely. It is good to hear from someone familiar with the area.

I'm going to check out that site and will pass it on to her.

There are several flights daily from Casablanca to Fez. Train service is better on the coast vs inland. I would recommend hiring in advance a driver that can be shared among students arriving simultaneously and which the program should be able to arrange.

Thanks for the ideas. Having a plan in advance, I think, will be important.
