Snapshots from our safari
Have not checked in here in awhile. We were in Africa last Oct(Eagle Island, Chobe Chilwero&VicFalls,CapeTown)and I've just now finished proofing our pictures. This slide show was created for our friends, all of whom are not wildlife lovers so lots of people/scenery(but I did get tons of animals as well). It was a truly amazing experience and like all here, I cannot wait to go back!
Oh, if I have labeled anything incorrectly, please let me know. My knowledge of African wildlife was non-existent before the trip!

note-there are some pic of Savute, we did not stay there, just flew up for the day.

Great photos! We went to Eagle Island & Savute last summer and loved it! We did the helicopter flight too and I was also hanging out the side snapping photos! I have to say I'm glad we weren't at Savute when the lions were taking down eles. I don't think I would have dealt well with that. Loved the leaping kudu pic! How lucky you were to see a white rhino! Thanks for posting your pics - so fun to see them all!

Wonderful croc shots and the guys spotting the croc was clever.
The dying sable was a sad shot. It still looked beautiful despite its condition. The sable and wildebeest combo was more uplifting. Where did you see the sable?
I was admiring the rhino resting in the dust photo and marveling at the rhino poop action shot, but then read Matnikstym's comment about it being killed by poachers. Did I miss an explanation in your slide show? How awful. Where did you see the rhino?
Some of your shots appeared to be from the air, such as the running giraffe.
You have a good variety of people, scenery, and wildlife.

atravelyn, yes we saw the white rhinos at Mosi-oa-tuni(?spell)park and I am so sad to read that there are no longer alive.
The air shots were from a helicopter ride we took from Eagle Island, got some great pics from the air and it was so thrilling! We saw sable several places but mostly in the Chobe Nat. Park, Kasane.
No idea 'what' kind of snake the small one at camp was but the one we saw on the night drive(very dark/blurry pic)was a spiting cobra.
