Do you have a sister or cousin with South African citizenship that I could marry? (Is it still bigamy if it is on another continent?)
I really want those local prices so I, too, can buy a home in Nelspruit and then have the designer/builder for the luxury lodges come over and spruce everything up!

In two drives we saw the Following:
1)The Styx pride feeding on a buffalo north of Main Camp.They had 3 three month old cubs with them when suddenly they became interested in Impala nearby and after a carefully planned ambush just missed out on another meal.They returned to the carcass and the interaction between the cubs and their mothers were awesome.I see the current pride has three 22-24 month old members!Maybe I get to see some of those cubs again two years later!
2)Magical elephant sighting with a ?3 month old calf mock charging the vehicle and trying to flap his ears to scare us.He didn't really succeed but managed to lose his balance in the process and nearly toppled over.
3)The "Short Tail Male" leopard scavenging on a buffalo kill in the reeds with the two split rock males less than 50 meters away resting in the riverbank.We were parked right next to the carcass when one of the males decided it's time to feed again.He started stalking the leopard and came within 5 meters before charging the poor leopard,crashing through the reeds.If he wasn't that well fed at the time I am sure the leopard wouldn't have escaped.
The Short Tail Male was killed by lions on Londolozi's property in July of 2004 after again scavenging on a lions kill.He was 13 years old.
4)Seeing my favorite leopard Tjololo feeding on a buff carcass in front of Harrys Camp(the buffalo died of unknown cause)The next morning we returned to the carcass and found Kim Wolhuter on scene filming.Tjololo was now joined by a pack of hyenas and retreated into the reeds.Kim assured us that "his boy" gave them hell all night long.This would obviously be a highlight if I am lucky enough to see him once again.He hasn't been seen on Mala Mala for 2 months now...I hope everything is ok with him.I think he spends alot of time in Londolozi and Dudley.
5)The Ngoboswan Female with a nyala kill in a large Jackalberry Tree close to Main Camp.
6)One of the West Street Males mating with a female of the Eyrefield Pride.This was the worst performance I've ever seen by a male lion!!Shame maybe his age had something to do with it.
Well that is one of my best 24 hours on tape from Mala Mala.

Just out of curiosity - Leopard Hills is hardly ever mentioned on this forum - anyone know why?
Safarinut - earlier on in this thread, you mentioned a list of your favourites in the SSGR - any reasons why - I would be interested in finding out your thoughts? Also, have you or any other fodorites stayed at Dulini, and what are your thoughts?

Ironically, I ended up staying at Dulini in November. The accomodations were over the top. Only six suites, great furnishings, LR, BR, huge bath/shower area with floor to ceiling glass, outdoor shower/plunge pool and full front deck. I had stayed at Lion Sands and Londolozi Founders in the past, and while visiting Londoz had viewed their Tree Camp suites. Dulini was every bit as nice as Tree Camp.
Game viewing was also excellent as was our guide Craig & tracker Patrick. I am beginning to agree with others on this forum who have said the animal viewing is much the same throughout the Sabi Sands. That's not a negative, just the reality that they do move around beyond the invisible bounds of the various lodge traversing areas.

The website is mtbeds.co.za. JoAnne handled my bookings and was great. I have used them twice, 3/04 and 11/05 and have stayed at Londolozi Founders, Lion Sands and Exeter Dulini. There are lots of other choices, as you will see. You can only book within two weeks of arrival though, so for some that's a deal breaker.
