Gentleman,
I have to tip my hat to the best bowler SA has ever had the privilege to watch, and you have probably seen him bat as well. Fantastic performance by Shaun Pollock, 5 wickets for 23 runs in 10 overs, against a pretty good batting line up. Hari you were right, we won by 9 wickets. A probable team also announced last night and it is looking good. For India Dravid was the man. I think most South Africans like him because of his even temperament and the fact that he just gets on with the job. Oz and New Zealand the next matches to enjoy.
Cheers
Jaco

Hey Jaco......too funny i predicted a 9 wkt win even before they came to bat. Although, i didnt watch anymore of the game after the Pakis were 9 wkts down....

Yep....Dravid is MR.Consistency....i hope to watch the highlights tonight. I have it on tape. Zaheer got 5 wkts also, i believe. But, i agree Pollock is the best!!!

Hallo gentleman,
We have been out of circulation the last week as our first born daughter arrived on Sunday the 18th of Feb. The best experience we have ever had, and I hope you do not mind that I am sharing, but I cannot help it. She weighed 3.6 Kg and my wife gave natural birth in 2.5 hours! Amazing lady.

We are in quite a good position for the Cricket WC, with the black caps beating Oz, we are now the top ranked one day team. The WC is a different story alltogether though. Looking forward to it immensely. Best of luck to India and England, I think all of us are hoping for a good tournament.

Napamatt, we have been watching the 6 nations with great interest, and i cannot help being impressed by France and Ireland. Strong contenders later this year with the rugby WC. I do not know if you follow the Super 14, because our team, the Lions, have won 3 matches on the trot, against the book makers odds. Taking in consideration that we only have 2 recognised Springboks in our team, we are ecstatic.

Looking forward to your replies.

Kindest regards
Jaco

Greetings Jaco....Congratulations!!! to you and your wife....

You have a name yet?

The cricket......yep, we all have good chances. I guess our fielding will be very average with the old warhorses on the field.....but, argueably the best batting line up in the competition (IMO)

Jaco

Congratulations to you and your wife.

On the rugby, I am tormenting myself with England v Ireland. Just past half time and England down 23-8, and looking terrible. I now have access to Super 12 and will make an effort to watch some.

Shoib Akthar and Asif not playing for PAK is a big blow for their chances!!!

Our boys have left to the WC couple days ago to a huge send off by fans, media and hype........i hope for Sachin's sake we win!!! (could be the last chance for him????) he does hold every record known to batting....a WC win would be awesome!!!! (i would like a WC win also)

Best answer I ever got to a question about cricket (which is completely undcipherable to me, I must add! ):

Question: How long does an inning last?

Answer: Well, until it's over!

I guess not........aussies too good under pressure!!! That run-out throw from the boundary summarizes the professionalism of the whole team.

I think the winner is going to be either Australia or Sri Lanka. SL is the only team to have the variety in bowling that may trouble them....
