Docking in Alexandria for 2 days on a cruise in 2011. Right now I am opting for 1 day tour by Ramses which will go to the Great Pyramid, Sphinx and a 1 hour Nile fellucca boat ride. The tour is reported to take 10-12 hours and will stop near the Nile for lunch. Any comments/recommendation about this tour company and the tour I am thinking about.

You are in Egypt for 2 days - don't you want to see the Museum and a few more sites while in Cairo? Will you spend Day 2 with Ramses in Alexandria?
FYI - 6 of those hours will be on the highway driving.

Not sure about Ramses in Alexandria. Any suggestions? I don't want to miss what would be the most important sites in Cairo...so I take it the Museum is one of those? Maybe we should reconsider what tour we take

Most people consider the King Tut exhibit in the Cairo Museum a must see. There is also a VERY good Royal Mummy display (costs extra) inside the museum that is probably worth a look.
I recommend if you have a public library in your area that you go check out a Guide Book on Egypt (one with lots of pictures) to see what there is to see. You might be surprised.
Alternatively you can research more on the Internet, but not knowing what you are looking for, might make that more difficult. Try this - Google - Cairo Tours and see what you come up with.
