Here is help on deciding which months are best for which areas

In case others in the planning stages (as I am) have wondered about this, I found a great link It is on one of the sites I found listed in someone's post.

I have soooooo many questions about how to map out my trip (May/June 06) that at least having something about where the weather is good & bad then helps a LOT

Hope others find this useful --

Thanks for the link. Just a note, however -- optimal game viewing and optimal weather don't always coincide. It depends a lot on what you think of as optimal weather. September and October are noted as excellent for game viewing in the Okavango (which they are, as it's the end of the dry season), but many people may find the temperatures (high 30s C) prevalent then hard to tolerate.

Cheers,
Julian

I really like this chart. Now if we could only overlay the weather info...

Hello,

Well, it does simplify things from a game-viewing standpoint, so you're about 1/2 way there -- what we need is some sort of weather/game-viewing database...any IT types out there feel like taking this on?

Cheers,
Julian
