We are planning a trip to Marrakech in May and hesitating about various places...

Has anyone been to the newly open Es Saadi Palace section. Looks great on the web site, but real reviews would be welcome.

We are also thinking of making it easy with Le Meridien, but we do have mixed feelings about the place (stay in 2002). If anyone has been there recently, all comments would be also welcome.

Les Jardins de la Koutoubia or La villa des Orangers could also another option.

There are some online reviews about the various hotels you mentioned. I have never stayed at any of them but have been to them. Most are big hotels with all the amenities. They are quite popular so the atmosphere might not be so intimate. La Villa des Orangers is the most charming and intimate.

We finally booked at the newly open Palace Es Saadi, and found the place rather nice, although sound insulation between rooms was again a problem (very thin walls...).
