Jim - Where, when is your next adventure
The flight home is so hard on us that it takes a week or two before we even start planning another trip This time we both picked up a stomach bug in Amsterdam or on the flight, so are even less energetic at the moment.
But will likely return to Tz in 2008 either in the drier season, with an emphasis on Tarangire, or during the Jan - March time frame back to these same areas, when the migration is in full swing.
Paco - The leopard coming down the tree is fantastic
You are the first to mention the leopard, and that was my favorite too (also our guide's favorite, he requested a big print). They are really hard to find in good light, at least for me in Tz (I've seen a lot of great shots of the habituated leopards in the Mara though).
We visit Tanzania in April 2006 and in 3 days at Ndutu we had 11 cheetah sightseeings with 2 brothers making a wildebeest calf kill
I'll bet we photographed that same pair killing a yearling wildebeest in Jan 2006 ... one had a nasty gash on his right-rear flank? They were the dominant pair last year but we didn't see them this time around.
