Paris Hotel Near Gare St. Lazare
We will be arriving at Gare St. Lazare in the afternoon and want to stay one night in a walking-distance hotel before leaving the next day from CDG. Any hotel recommendations (more than budget or basic) would be appreciated!

okay, one of my favorite hotels is a few blocks away, I've stayed there several times. Highly recommend it as it is off the big main street, also. The HOtel Langlois. http://www.hotel-langlois.com/EN/hotel.html
It is mid-level in price. If that's too far for you, please specify (it is about 3 relatively short blocks).

why not stay within walking distance of the RER line to CDG? That opens up way more choices.
I am rather familiar with the area around Gare St Lazarre.. my relatives live on Rue Copenhague.. and theres nothing wrong with area.. but when you arrive, since you only have one evening.. why not stay right by line for airport and not have to fuss about metro then transfer to RER ?
What is your hotel budget in Euros?

At St Lazard I recommend hotel Lavoisier. Or élysées opera.
Mercure Nord is nice but 2 of my colleagues got a visit in the night - the one who didn't wake up was robbed.
A romanian.
I recommend Mademoiselle rue des permits hotels instead at GDN or citadines les Halles - a nice apart hotel.
