One month in Europe
Hi, I am travelling with my family to Europe for a month. My first week is in Munich and then on I plan to go to Austria,2 daysPrague,2 daysItaly,10 days andParis2 days . Could I include something else in this itinerary? Which is the correct sequence of travel? So when I leave Munich how shod I book the train tickets to the above so that each time the travel is in one line and not to and fro. Also suggestions in Italy . Want to definitely go to Venice, Rome , cinq terre. Pls suggest an itinerary. Would be OK with adjusting the days sequences etc.thank you

I think you would absolutely benefit from a guidebook or looking through some of the sample itineraries on this website or others. You could also help us help you by telling us what your interests are and what time of year you are taking this trip.
I would also initially say that your time allotments seem a bit off for the places you're interested in:
-Austria - where exactly are you interested in visiting in the country? Vienna? Salzburg? Something else? Whatever and wherever it is likely needs more than 2 days
-Prague - may want to think a minimum of 3 nights for this, but also look at how the city stacks up against your interests and increase as needed
-Italy - 10 days is a good chunk of time, may want to add a bit more though
-Paris - again, depends on your interests, but based on size and offerings I would recommend thinking more along the lines of a 4 night stay at minimum
If you can provide us with more information about what you want to see and what you're interested in, that will help us give better advice.

With the greatest odf respect have you LOOKED at a map to see where these places are in relation to each other? That would, I think, help you determine the order. I would not go to Austria and then Prague and then Italy but rather go to Prague, then Austria, and then Italy.
You can, for example take a train from Vienna to Venice.
I would also look at the possibility of budget airline flights using www.skyscanner.com

I have counted 23 days plus travelling days. This seems to give a bit of a buffer. Still, you have a few destinations which deserve more time (especially Paris!).
Travelwise, this would make sense:
Train from München to Praha.
Train from Praha to Wien.
Train from Wien to Venezia (or another destination in Northern Italy) OR plane to Southern Italy (Rome).
Train within Italy (work yourself from the North to the South or the other way round).
Plane from Italy to Paris.
Paris is onlyworth the effort if you have at least three, better four full days there.
Note that Cinque Terre is a destination for hiking, that it is terribly crowded (by cruise ship excursions), that it is partly closed because of overcrowding and that you find many similar, if not better destinations for scenic hikes in Italy. But this is just an opinion.

For lots of train info and ticketing questions check www.seat61.com and for general info (like 1st vs 2nd class) check also www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.
If wanting first class travel without having to pre-book and chose which trains you want to take once there check out the Eurail Select Saverpass- for discounted 2nd class individual tickets (probably the cheapest way but have to book usually in stone weeks/months in advance see www.seat61.com - the guru site of discounted tickets.

Remember that if you want two full days somewhere, you have to spend three nights.
You have allocated 10 days for Italy. How many cities do you plan to visit. Remember that it takes time to get from place to place; you lose anywhere from half a day to most of a day each time you change locations. You have mentioned Venice, Rome, Cinq Terre - it will be difficult to do those places justice in 10 days.
I agree you need more time in Paris.
I think you would benefit from reading some guide books and looking at maps. Rather than thinking about adding more destinations, you should be thinking about which destinations are most important to you and perhaps cutting one or more stops that are less important.
