The inventive small plates and carefully planned drink menu make this a very popular nightspot and a favorite with foodies. The decor, which pays subtle photographic homage to the pioneers, fishermen, and outlaws of Seattle's past, is also a draw. Sip a bourbon-infused cocktail and munch on stellar crostini with salmon or veal sweetbreads. Spur can be a bit spendy, so it may make sense to save your visit for happy hour (Sunday to Thursday 5 to 7) or for a late-night snack (it serves a special pairing menu from 11 to 1:30).
