Fodor's Review:

This charming breakfast and lunch café bakes its own bread and serves large and tasty omelets (the best one if packed with house-cured gravlax, cream cheese, red onion, and tomato), Swedish pancakes, udon noodle bowls, Vietnamese chicken salad, and panini sandwiches. You can sit out front on a shaded outdoor patio with a fountain when it's warm and watch the tourists go by. Dragonfly also does a brisk mail-order business with its red chile-infused truffles, delicious granola, and many other tasty products.

Wonderful breakfast and lunch

Posted by Jay21 from West Hartford, CT on 5/8/07
Discovered this place several years ago.. It has got to be to the freshest, yummiest food I've had for breakfast and lunch in a long while. The sauces are delectible. I even took a second lunch home for dinner (crab cake sandwhich). After talking to Karen, the owner, found out that they get up at 4am to bake the bread, rolls, eclairs and more, fresh everyday. That's dedication! She even makes her own greek style yoghurt-- really rich but fantastic. If you ask for organic eggs they come from her hens-- best croissant sandwich in the southwest! Really can't get enough of those home made eclairs though! The fresh vanilla cream and dark chocolate-- to die for! I have to say, I haven't had any bad experience there yet and I've been there dozens of times over the years. I guess there are always those anomalies in service though. One of the waitstaff told me that they cater for Julia Roberts. Anyone that has traveled far and wide will love the food here. And it's run out of a quiant historic Taos adobe. You won't find charm like this anywhere else but Taos. It's heartwarming, really.
