The Star Lookout Review

Hidden halfway up Haleakala, this remote, serene, and cozy 100-year-old perch is an ideal getaway that has unobstructed views of both shores of Maui. You'll want to snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove rather than blast the air-conditioning. Up to four people can be accommodated in this inventively designed and recently refurbished and upgraded house; it's downright romantic for a couple. Snipping a few fresh herbs from the garden will make cooking while on vacation all the more fun. If you'd rather go out to eat, Grandma's Coffee House is nearby.
