Carriage Inn Review

The newly rebranded Carriage Inn reminisces about San Francisco's literary, subversive, and comedic history by paying homage to city legends: Upon entering the boisterous lobby, view the framed caricatures of the city's brightest—you'll notice everyone from the sign-toting Frank Chu to the Golden Gate's favorite son, Robin Williams. Each spacious room—decked out in a funky mix of antique furnishings, Asian-themed throw pillows, and contemporary touches like flat-screen TVs—pays tribute to a local celebrity whose bio is carefully typed out on the room's antique typewriter. Whether your room channels Cheech Marin or Mark Twain, you'll find plenty of character and wit in this somewhat seedy slice of the city.
