True to its name, this tiny wine bar is in a tiny alley (just north of Market Street) and down a set of stairs. The location is part of the appeal, but the wines and amuse-bouches make it truly worthwhile. A jumble of velvet chairs and loveseats fills the carpeted space, and the owner, who serves most nights, acts as your sommelier. Another hidden find, Le Colonial is just across the alley.
