Sessions Public Review

From the short rib sliders, duck confit Thai summer rolls, and rib-eye fries on the menu to the stuffed ducks adorning the walls it's clear this is no vegetarian joint. Opened by Point Loma native Abel Kaase, this neighborhood restaurant draws a young crowd that's more hipster than hippie. The menu features farm-to-table fare and 20 craft beers on tap each day. Highlights include the mussels, the certified Angus beef natural burger topped with gouda and arugula, and duck-fat fries served with garlic aioli. Sunday brunch is fun and casual with a special morning cocktail menu. For post-dinner drinks, pop over to the adjacent Catalina Lounge, a favorite local dive bar with cheap drinks and friendly bartenders.
