The intersection of 9th and G is now the meeting point for San Diego's café society, thanks to the super-chic and friendly Café Chloe. Surrounded by luxury high-rises, hotels, and boutiques, the area's residents head to this pretty and Parisian spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Start the day with whole-wheat pancakes and sour-cherry sauce, lunch on smoked trout and apple salad or a casserole of macaroni, pancetta, and Gorgonzola, or enjoy chicken vol-au-vent or steak frites for dinner. The fine selection of wines by the glass, imported teas, and coffee make it a lovely place to while away the afternoon.

My husband and me spent just three days in SD, but we visited this place twice for breakfast. We loved it! It's aside from the tourists trails, cool and lovely french atmosphere, delicious food, hip crowd, great service... I would say this is the best place in SD with moderate prices! Highly recommended.
