Desperately looking for stars? You can spot celebrities past (Mary Pickford, Elvis Presley, and Clark Gable) and present (Angelina Jolie, Russell Crowe, Keanu Reeves, and Nicolas Cage), or at least their waxy likenesses (squinting helps), here in this for-profit museum that pays tribute to Hollywood's favorites. A short film on Oscar winners is shown daily. The lighting is purposely kept low to give the wax figures a more lifelike appearance, but some look downright spooky. Be especially cautious when entering the Horror Chamber, where figures of serial slashers and horror favorites from Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are animated to leap out to greet you. The creepiness is especially evident at night, when fewer visitors are around. Since this isn't Madame Tussaud's, set your expectations low and you might score some joyfully silly photos for your scrapbook.
