A 60-passenger aerial tram (free with dinner reservations, otherwise $16 round-trip) carries you to this refined yet relaxing mountainside Girdwood restaurant, perched at the 2,300-foot level on Mt. Alyeska. The comfortable dining room overlooks seven glaciers. Try the artfully presented smoked and grilled salmon or mesquite-grilled strip loin of buffalo. Appetizers—particularly the peppered crab cakes—are extraordinary. À la carte prices are high, but a four-course menu ($70 per person, including a matched wine) is available nightly in summer. Both tram and restaurant are wheelchair accessible. Dinner seatings are from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.
