The New American cuisine encompasses Italian, French, Asian—but not on one plate. Try pastas such as gnocchi with lemon, Parmesan and spinach, or bucatini pasta with duck ragout. Mains are simple elegant, like rainbow trout with sunchoke and green butter, and Atlantic cod with citrus and honey. Desserts and cheeses are divine. A downstairs lounge has buzz, its own small, less-expensive menu ($$), and live music weekends.
