Where to buy fuel for camp stove - San Antonio

I will be landing in San Antonio and need fuel for my camp stove, and basic groceries. We plan on heading out to Del Rio when we land, to stopover for the night before we head out the next day to spend the week at Big Bend NP.

Does anyone know of a convenient place to stop on the way to Del Rio (from the airport) for fuel and groceries? I assume groceries will be rather easy to find, but the fuel was my main concern. I use SnowPeak canister's for a litemax stove.

Thanks for your help! Looking forward to Texas

I did not realize WalMart carried fuel for camp stoves. I will call and check and also see if they are located near the airport.

Starrs: I usually go to the nearest REI, but they are not in San Antonio, closest is in Austin. That is a bit out of my way, we wanted to head on over to BBNP.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions.

Check Sports Authority - you may need to call a specific store to see if they carry what you need. I believe there is one on the north side of SA.

The Texas RV Supply Store is located at 2211 Austin Highway, not far from the Loop 410/Interstate 35 intersection. Phone number: (210) 655-1761. For ideas of what to see/do while you're in San Antonio, check out my blog, San Antonio Tourist, at http://sanantoniotourist.wordpress.com Cheers, Denise
