Where Do We Get A Good Burger?

Going this weekend to Newport. Having dinner at the Castle Hill Inn but would like to have a good hamburger and fries for lunch. Can you make a suggestion? Thanks.

If you'll have a car, here's another suggestion. Pick up a lunch of your choice (maybe Panera Bread right off Thames Street) and drive over to Fort Adams. Go up to the area behind the Eisenhower House and pick a spot for a great picnic lunch. No one will bother you here and the views are stunning. You can park wherever you want..watch the boats...take a look at the old cemetary..even fish if you have your gear

Second the Brick Alley Pub recommendation. We've been to Newport at least 3 times in the last few years and have at least one lunch there on each trip.

There's lots to do in Newport besides the shops...I'm glad you're going to Castle Hill - very expensive but very worth it. Make a reservation for a table at the window. You can visit the mansions, take a walk on the Cliff Walk, go around Ocean Drive, visit the Tennis Hall of Fame, drive over to Purgatory and Second Beach in Middletown, take a sail or a harbor cruise, go fishing, fly kites on Ocean Drive, visit nearby Jamestown ( if you do grab an outside lunch at Tricia's Tropi Grill, visit Fort Adams on Ocean Drive, look for antiques in the old armory on Thames Street, visit the art museum, drive by Hammersmith ( the old Bouvier/Kennedy estate, have clams at Flo's or a million other places, visit a nearby winery in Tiverton....tired yet?
