What to do in Key Largo, FL?

We take our Airstream to Key Largo each year for 2 weeks and hubby goes fishing. He can no longer dive so does anyone have any suggestions of what to do? We will visit Key West one day. Thanks!

If you go to Key Largo each year for two weeks and you don't know what to do there. You're in trouble.

Previous poster's got it right...

I think I'd spend the afternoons at Alabama Jack's...

We tend to do the same thing each time and I thought someone might have suggestions for something that I haven't found or something that might be new since last year. Gee, you guys are really helpful!!

Have you tried Kayaking? It's easy to do in the Keys. There's a shop at about MM 104 bayside that rents kayaks. Explore the back country in a peaceful and quiet way.
Think about a trip up to the Everglades. It's about a 45 minute drive from Key Largo. I would not suggest heading all the way to Flamingo unless you plan to stay the night. (Which is a great thing to do!)
Go to World Wide Sportsman to explore the store then have drinks at Morada Bay at sunset, followed by dinner.
Rent a boat in the Holiday Isle area and spend the day at the sand bar.

How about the glass-bottom boat ride to the reef, the casino gambling boats or a ride on the African Queen? Do a search on the web for Key Largo, also - there are quite a few sites with ideas on them (www.fla-keys for example). Good luck and have fun!

go a little further down, like to marathon and go bone fishing or just hire a guide to pole you around Florida Bay. Magnificent.
