Wedding gift - restaurant or activities near Nipomo?

I am searching for a wedding gift idea for an older friend who lives not far from Santa Maria. Was considering a gift certificate or certificate to some type of local event or activity since they already have all of the appliances, etc that they need. Any ideas?
