Vegas Itinerary for 4 girlfriends-opinions please!
Four 50 year old girlfriends leave for Vegas next week. We are staying at the Bellagio for three nights and we are going to see the 10:30 Zumanity show Friday night, 7:30 Mystere Sat. night and 7:30 "0" on Sun. night. The rest of the time we will mostly hotel hop to see the sights, shop, eat and drink! We may do a little gambling and lounging at the pool but since we only have 2 full days we want to be on the go.
We should all arrive at the Bellagio by 4:30 on Friday. Since Zumanity is at NYNY, we were planning to head to the south end of the strip, working our way through some of the hotels like Luxor, Excalibur and ending up at Mandalay Bay for dinner at Border Grill around 8:00. Then we would head to NYNY to check it out before going into the show around 10:00
On Saturday and Sunday, we would like to eat lunch at some really nice places and have that be our main meal, then go to a bar /restaurant after the shows get over (I figure by 9:30-10:00) and have drinks and
appetizers or something light. We figure this will help a little bit on cost since we have already spent quite a bit on where we are staying and the three shows.
These are my picks based on what I have researched but I would really like opinions on all of these restaurants plus Border Grill because we won't have enough days for all.
For Lunch
-Mon Ami Gabi
-Circo (Olives will be closed for renovation or we would have tried that)
-Postrio
For after the shows:
Kahunaville (after Mystere since it is in TI)
Onda Lounge (Mirage)
Fontana Lounge (Bellagio)
As far as the lunch choices, I thought another poster mentioned that Postrio is in the St. Mark's Square area of the Grand Canal Shoppes and that sounds like it would be really fun and entertaining as long as we sit on the patio I assume. Can anyone confirm that this is right?
I chose the Bars/ lounges based on the fact that they should all be pretty conveniant to where the shows are since I have heard it takes a while to get places.
I would really appreciate opinions on which you would consider your top two choices of each in terms of atmosphere, food, entertainment value. Also, any opinions on Border Grill or would you recommend another restaurant at one of the hotels in the southern end? One of us is a veggie only.
Also, how much time should we allow to get from Bellagio to Mandalay Bay if we take the monorail. Should we consider a taxi at least one way? And will we have to wait in a long line to get a taxi?
Thanks so much!

Spago (in Caesar's Forum / Mall) is a really fun restaurant - great unique food and hilarious people watching (sometimes more hoo-hoo than who's-who!!!)
All three shows are Cirque du Soleil, and all are great but all have very similar qualities. Maybe throw in something different? Rita Rudner? Danny Gans?

Can't help much with the restaurant question but here are a few thoughts:
The monorail will not be open when you are there. First free transportation that you will run into is Excalibur to Mandalay Bay. Bellagio to ExC. is quite a hike in mid June. Either saunter with a water bottle in hand or cab it. Taxi lines vary but usually are longest right after a show lets out.
Zumanity (according to other female posters)is likely to "fire you up" No men in the group? Be careful out there ;-) Stay away from Coyote Ugly in NYNY after the show! On a serious side the dueling piano bar in NYNY is near the top of my list for after show entertainment.
Please try and take in the Paris across from Bellagio. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The trip to the top of the Eiffel tower is good fun especially at night.

Your iteinerary sounds fine but I don't think you're going to want to walk from Bellagio to Luxor and Excalibur in June, if that's what you mean when you say that you plan to head to the south end of the strip. It's a pretty good hike and will be quite hot (90s), even in the early evening. I'd suggest you take taxi to the Luxor or Excalibur. There is a tram that runs from Mandalay Bay to both of those hotels.
Out of the restaurants you mentioned, I've only eaten at Postrio's. I enjoyed it. Good food, atmosphere and prices.
