Going out in Vegas
I'm going to Vegas in June with 3 friends and we've decided that we each get one night to pick where to go for dinner and where we want to go out that night.
We all like to go dancing and none of us are into techno music. So, I'm looking for a club that plays hip hop, or another place that plays live music that we can dance to.
Has anyone been to a great place that plays good music (that's not techno) in Vegas? and do you remember what the cover was?
Thanks!

Almost every casino on the Strip - and "local" hangouts off the Strip too - have lounges with live bands and dancing. Many of these are better than the bands you'll hear in the overpriced, very crowded nightclubs that you'll wait in line for. One of the best groups in town plays in the FREE lounges - they're called Six-Five-0 and they are really good. Another group - Jonathan & Music Magic are pretty good too. These bands play great dance music and are entertaining as well. You can usually find out what bands are playing at what casino (and at what times)by looking in the entertainment books at the hotels. Even if you don't find either of these two bands, try some of the lounges like at Paris, Bellagio (Fontana Bar is the best), Aladdin, etc. and I'll bet you have a really good time and it won't cost you a bunch of money or be so crowded you can't move.

I'd go for dinner at 808 at Ceasars - fantastic hawaiin fusion...amazing deconstructed tuna tower, and mahi mahi without the overthetop prices of many celebrity knockoffs. I can't believe how many entrees on menus were $48 as a norm. With lobstershepherds pie topping at $70 somewhere? Hello!!! Jean Marie Josselin the chef was on premesis last week. We ate there twice and it was perfect. Then I'd walk over to Bellagio and check out Fontana and Caramel. Take in the fountains every 15 minutes after from 7pm-12. That would be my night out! Have fun
