What is your favorite people watching place in Las Vegas?
Going tomorrow. Will have free time on my hands bc H is in seminars. So, figure that I will explore, do a little shopping, little spa, and a lot of people watching.
Do you have a favorite place to sit with a drink and just check out the crowd? Or maybe a restaurant? Used to go to Planet Hollywood, but I don't know if it is even there anymore. We are staying at the Mandalay Bay, probably some action there.
H and I thought we would check out the Ghost bar at the Palms. Where else should we not miss? Seen Voodoo Bar. Maybe some bar at the Bellagio? Is there a place to get a drink and watch and "hear" the fountains???
Any little tidbits you want to pass on about Las Vegas, post away. And then we have dinner there on Friday...Roys? Picasso's? So many choices.

I prefer the Venetian for sitting and watching people. They have benches along the Grand Canale as well as in St. Mark's square. There's usually a human statue as well as street performers wandering through. This, as well as all the shops, bring a lot of people through. Plus, it's a little more relaxing than sitting right next to the casino, hearing those machines all the time.
As for restaurants, if you're in the mood for steak, try Prime at the Bellagio or N9ne at the Palms. Both were excellent, just different ambiences. Prime is much more romantic and classical, where N9ne feels more trendy. But if you're headed to the Ghost Bar, it's right on your way. Have a great trip- don't forget the report when you get back!

Depending on the temp outside, my favorite people watching place is the fountains outside of the Bellagio. They have benches there to sit and watch. IT may kind of loud, since it's onthe street. As far as indoors, I agree with the venetian. You can sit and watch gondolas go by.
My friends just returned from Vegas and ate on top of the Statosphere and really enjoyed it . Very nice - good filet/. They also went to Rain at the Paslm and had a few drinks. BE prepared to stand in line to get in, however. 20 dollar cover charge. Not sure about the Ghost Bar.
