Valentine's Dinner on Maui

Will be honeymooning in Hawaii next month, being on Maui on Valentine's Day. I know that there have been numerous restaurant posts and, believe me, I have read all the great things people have written about Mama's, Nick's, I'O, and the like. What I'm looking for here is the BEST, the #1 place to go to for dinner on Valentine's Day. So to those of you out there who have eaten at several of these highly thought of restaurants, if you had to pick the top overall dining experience on Maui, combining the best in food, ambiance, settings/views, etc. which place would it be and why?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

I wouldn't go to Mama's. Overrated and overpriced. Well, the price wouldn't be so bad if they gave you more food, but the portions are really small. Think people pay because of the view. That's pretty awesome. I'd pick either.....I'O's (Lahaina), Nick's (Wailea), Longhi's (Wailea) or Swan Court (at the Hyatt Regency in Ka'anapali). Swan Court is great if you're looking for romantic. But if you're REALLY looking for romantic try calling "Tableside Chefs". They will set up and serve you dinner "right on the beach" with your own personal waiter, no one else but you.

Of the places that I've personally tried, my top pick would I'O's for best food and ambiance. I've dined at Mama's, Haliimale, Bamboo Bistro, Roy's Kahana, Sansei, Pacific O, and Hula Grill, but not Nick's.

Best choice would be either Jameson's in Kapalua or the brunch at the Ritz Carlton or both!

The Banyan Tree at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua is romantic and the food is amazing!! It is located in a quiet spot on the beautiful grounds of the Ritz. The views of Kapalua Bay are breathtaking-reserve a table in the back right on the ocean. We had a very special dinner on our last night in Maui (we also stayed at the Ritz for our trip).Ocean breezes, torch lit grounds, amazing sunsets, impeccible service and of course, the delicious food-it was perfect! They also have the yummiest speciality cocktails (try the "Kapalua Romance").They also have valet parking which we loved as well.No matter where you decide, you will have a great time beacuse you are in Maui!!!! Happy Honeymoon!

I'm still a little undecided everyone. Any more votes for the most romantic Maui restaurant out there?

Thanks.....

You could try Sarrento's on the beach. I was there in November and it was nice.

Congratulations on getting married and enjoy Maui!!!

I haven't been yet...we are going in May. But on our list of romantic restaurants we don't want to miss are: the kapalua hotel bay club, the one mentioned at the ritz and the plantation house. I did a lot of research and the reviews for these places in terms of food, service, ambience etc. were outstanding!

hope you have a wonderful time! hope you check back in with a trip report. ;-)
